Job Summary
We are looking for an Automotive Parts Specialist to join the team at our busy auto body shop. If you are a mechanically-inclined automotive professional with strong management and communication skills, we want to hear from you. 

As the Automotive Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving and managing the specific collision and replacement parts needed to repair damaged cars.. You will use your negotiation skills to secure the best prices and quality on parts that are ordered, track and confirm that credits are received for any returns, and ensure a consistent balance between supply and demand. To succeed in this role, you must be highly organized and have in-depth knowledge of automotive parts. 
  
Responsibilities 
  • Maintain consistent inventory levels of materials to ensure auto repairs and sales can move forward without delay. 
  • Record and track auto parts sales and repair work.
  • Look up and order the correct panels, parts and hardware from suppliers based on repair estimates.
  • Communicate pricing to customers if/when additional damage is found.  
  • Ensure parts ordered meet the quality standards of the company, tag parts for specific repair jobs and record the incoming orders and parts using shop software.
  • Send back wrong, damaged, or leftover parts to vendors and ensure that credit is received.
  • Secure best available pricing on automotive parts using strong negotiation and communication skills
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in auto repair or auto parts sales is required
  • Management experience is preferred 
  • Strong customer service, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Deep knowledge of automotive parts and industry
