Supply Chain Analyst/Engineer (Interest in Future Employment Opportunities)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Supply Chain Analyst/Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Planning and scheduling of production work centers, monitor work center output to meet customer requirements and improve work center operational efficiency
Procuring material and communicating to suppliers on future requirements to support production plan
Strong written or oral communication with Production Planning, Lean Value Stream, and Operations Team members along with active participation in the Tier process
Working closely with the business to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Working closely with the manufacturing team, value stream leadership, and Supply Planners to determine how best to prioritize and resolve supply constraints and balance service, inventory, and cost to meet business targets
Parameter Management:Â optimizing and maintaining production lot sizes, production cycles and safety stocks to deliver the desired balance between inventory and service
Managing capacity including identifying, resolving, and escalating production constraints
Managing assigned working and non-working inventories to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targetsÂ
Executing the production planning standard work utilizing supply chain tools, IT systems, and processes
Providing a high degree of planning analysis to support data-driven decision making
Identifies, leads, and participates in Continuous Improvement projects that improve customer service, inventory investment, flow, and supply chain efficiency
Your Skills and ExpertiseÂ
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Currently pursuing, or have completed, a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
OR
Currently pursuing, or have completed, a Graduate degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Previous internship experience
Willing and able to relocate
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges in product development.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and global colleagues.
Familiarity with intellectual property processes and strategies to contribute to the protection of proprietary technologies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and leadership in driving projects forward.
Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment, embracing change and innovation.
Work location: This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN; OR another 3M work location.
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
