StationMD is a telehealth company dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). All StationMD clinicians are board-certified and specially trained to treat individuals with I/DD. Clinicians are available 24/7 via telemedicine for urgent and non-urgent medical matters. StationMD also offers scheduled behavioral health telemedicine to individuals with I/DD. In providing this suite of services, StationMD enables individuals with I/DD faster access to high-quality care and substantially reduces unnecessary medical costs.

 

Position Summary:

 

We are looking for an exceptional individual who is interested in an excellent career opportunity. They should be ready to accept a challenging job that will require a high level of detail, computer skills, and customer service. The Technical Assistant acts as a liaison between our clients and providers for telemedicine visits. This position offers a flexible shift-based schedule based on the Technical Assistant’s availability; however, must be available to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the telemedicine visit between the clients and providers
  • Sharing medical information for encounters with the providers
  • Troubleshooting technical issues associated with the telemedicine platform
  • Troubleshooting operational issues associated with entering clients into the database
  • Faxing records to clients
  • Assisting clients with any issues that might arise throughout the visit
  • Copying/pasting notes into client electronic health records
  • Effectively communicating with clients

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills along with good decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and speech)
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, experience with web applications (Zoom) preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues (preferred)
  • Excellent computer skills, especially typing
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-starter
  • Must have a strong and secure internet connection
  • Experience in a healthcare environment or working with individuals with IDD is a plus
