We’re hiring a Parts Specialist to join County Materials in Marathon City, Wisconsin

 

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Support Technician supports the Maintenance Department by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while coordinating the sourcing, pickup, and delivery of parts and supplies required for corrective and preventative maintenance. This role partners closely with maintenance technicians and vendors to ensure timely availability of materials, minimize equipment downtime, and support overall maintenance efficiency and reliability.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas
  • Source maintenance parts and supplies; obtain vendor quotes as needed
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and lead times
  • Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and supplies from local vendors
  • Coordinate with mechanical and diesel technicians to identify parts and material needs
  • Support preventive maintenance and repair activities through timely parts availability
  • Assist with basic work planning, documentation, and inventory support as needed

Experience & Qualifications: (Required or Preferred)  

  • 1–2 years of experience in diesel mechanics, maintenance support, or a related field

  • Safety‑minded with attention to organization and detail

 

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in indoor, outdoor, plant, field, and office environments

  • No travel required
  • Standard work hours with overtime as needed
