Loader Operator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team in the Mining, Quarrying industry. As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including backhoes, loaders, and excavators. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment, while also meeting production targets and maintaining high standards of quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Experience operating heavy equipment, including backhoes, loaders, and excavators
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the Mining, Quarrying industry
• Certification in heavy equipment operation
• Experience with GPS and other advanced equipment technology

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including backhoes, loaders, and excavators
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment at all times
• Meet production targets and maintain high standards of quality
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods (8–12 hours/day).
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, and kneeling.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Must be able to hear instructions and warnings in a noisy environment.

Skills:

As a Loader Operator, you will use your skills in heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair on a daily basis. You will also need to have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment. Additionally, experience with GPS and other advanced equipment technology is preferred. Overall, this role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the success of our operations.
