Defect Inspection Supervisor

Position oversees defect Process technicians who maintain inline and fab end testing equipment and material throughput across all shifts. Position manages technicians schedules, training programs, and CIP projects. Keep preventive maintenance operations on schedule, update and improve procedures, and work to improve team efficiencies and cohesiveness in a fast paced production environment and stay ahead of growing fab needs. 

The Day-to-Day: 

  • Perform supervisory activities such as manage technician schedules in 24/7 environment and time card approvals. 
  • Supports and influences 5S methodology, ensuring the workplace is clean, uncluttered, safe and well organized to reduce waste and optimize productivity. 
  • Perform WIP management tasks with the team and provide training to techs on work functions. 
  • Build team moral and cohesiveness and help technicians accomplish learning and career goals. 
  • Establish relationships across departments to drive cohesive learning and cross functional problem solving. 
  • Interfaces with the Manufacturing Operations team on supporting daily production priorities based on bottlenecks and/or operational throughput goals. 
  • Work closely with engineering and production staff to improve overall quality metrics for the fab, SPC, scrap, rework, and cost reduction. 

This Job is Right for You if You Have: 

  • AS degree in an engineering or technology discipline or equivalent military experience or equivalent experience within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience supervising technicians and working closely with engineers in the electronics field. 
  • Experience with MS Office. 
  • Ability to keep team working efficiently on many competing priorities. 
  • Very strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
