General Summary:Ā

This person reports to the ICC Department Manager andĀ is responsible forĀ the Inventory Control operations on their shift.⯠Supervise up to 10 associates.⯠Oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of Inventory Control workflows.⯠Evaluate workflow trends and inform the management team of potential risks, issues arising and concernsĀ regardingĀ inventory control processes.⯠Partner with management to develop action plans that promote inventory accuracy through continuous process improvements, foster bestĀ practicesĀ and achieve the Distribution Center and Family Dollar initiatives and goals.āÆāÆĀ

āÆPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities:āÆĀ
Ensure compliance with establishedāÆDistributionāÆCenterāÆpolicies and procedures.Ā
AnalyzeĀ reports measuringĀ the effectiveness of theāÆDistributionāÆCenter.Ā
Coordinate communication with Corporate Office, Stores and Distribution Center Management to provideĀ timelyĀ solutions to inventory issues.Ā
Periodically audit department processes to include Receiving, Storage, Forklift, Shipping,Ā BulkĀ and Repack.Ā
Organizes Inventory Control functions and instructs Team Members in inventory and systemĀ processes,Ā effectively.Ā
Processes all merchandise returns toĀ vendor.Ā
Direct the scheduling and ensure performance of inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.Ā
DetermineĀ the plan for the storage of all inventoryĀ productĀ usingĀ Catalyst drivenĀ data and statistical reports to maximize pick and reserve location productivity.Ā
Partner with Damaged/Returns area to ensure that product is creditedĀ in a timely mannerĀ and managed effectively.Ā
Provide necessary leadership to ensure theāÆDistributionāÆCenterāÆcomplianceĀ toĀ quality requirements.Ā
Follows all Company policies and proceduresĀ

Position RequirementsĀ
Education: High school preferred.Ā
Experience: Four to sixĀ monthsĀ clerical or similar work experience in a Retail Distribution or Warehouse environment is preferred.Ā MustĀ be able toĀ demonstrateĀ basic Word, Excel,Ā OutlookĀ and Windows. Working knowledge of WMSĀ preferred.Ā
Physical Requirements: Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. These tasks require the ability to frequentlyĀ lift upĀ to 10 pounds, occasionallyĀ lift upĀ to 50Ā poundsĀ and rarely up to 60 pounds. The Team Member should haveĀ adequateĀ fitnessĀ levelĀ to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing of stairs, occasional sitting,Ā stoopingĀ and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation. Team Member willĀ be requiredĀ to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements.Ā
Working Conditions: Team Member will work in a non-climate controlledĀ Distribution or Warehouse atmosphere, in which outside weather conditionsĀ greatly affectĀ the buildingās temperature. Team Member may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts or equipment, fumes and airborne particles as regulated by OSHA.Ā
Availability: Team Member will perform shift work and must be willing to work overtime,Ā weekendsĀ and/or holidays.Ā

Minimum Requirements:Ā
High School, GEDĀ
Education:Ā
1-3Ā yearsĀ supervisory experience in a distribution,Ā transportationĀ or warehouse environment.Ā

Experience:āÆĀ Ā
Basic computer skills (MS Office, Windows). Ability to create and manipulate reports (Excel). Ability to learn RETEK. Computer SkillsĀ
