Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. 
  • Able to supply required back round clearances such as Criminal, Federal and Child Abuse.

Preferred Qualification

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with students and staff.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings and afternoons.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and portion sizes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, slicers, and dishwashers.
  • Stock and replenish food and supplies as needed throughout the day.
  • Follow all food handling and safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food quality.
  • Support cafeteria staff by performing various tasks such as dishwashing, cleaning, preparing and serving food.
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and schedules as a substitute worker.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth food service operations.
