Actively seek to be an individual who emphasizes a spirit of teamwork, flexibility, and quality in all aspects of daily work.   JOB SUMMARY: The Volunteer & Resource Coordinator supports Kids Ministry by recruiting, training, and equipping volunteers, and by coordinating the curriculum, resources, and supplies leaders need to create engaging, biblically sound environments for children. This role partners with Kids Ministry staff to strengthen programming and build a culture where children are known, loved, and discipled.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  Programming & Curriculum Primarily work with the Kids Group & Creative Content Associate to implement curriculum and resources across Kids Ministry, ensuring leaders have what they need to effectively teach children. Gather, organize, prepare, distribute, and maintain resources and materials needed for Sunday morning Kids Ministry programming.   Volunteer Development Recruit, schedule, and onboard both adult and student volunteers—including substitutes—to keep Sunday morning programming fully and reliably staffed. Provide regular training, communication, encouragement, and support to volunteers, fostering a culture of teamwork, care, and excellence. Support the junior leadership development program for students, building and maintaining relationships with both Kids & Student Ministry, as well as parents to activate more students into serving opportunities.   Supplies & Resource Management Oversee Kids Ministry supply closets and storage areas—assessing needs, assessing budgets, maintaining inventory, and keeping them organized, stocked, and accessible. Set up and maintain the Sunday teacher resource and breakroom, and communicate supply needs to staff ahead of upcoming ministry seasons and events. Maintain accurate volunteer records and schedules, and ensure compliance with child safety policies, including background checks, training, and other Caring Well requirements. General Responsibilities Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Attend and participate in all regular ministry staff meetings, monthly church staff meetings, staff retreats, training, etc. Support the Senior Pastor and all other church staff. High attention to detail. Self-Motivated Flexible   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree preferred. 2-3 years’ experience in Student or Children’s Ministry desired.   PHYSICAL ABILITIES Ability to lift up and carry 25 or more pounds. Able to both sit or stand for extended periods of time. Physically able to work inside and outside in various weather conditions.
