The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for seamlessly executing HR processes that support our employees and maintain the integrity of company processes and data. This role manages employee transactions in our HRIS system across the enterprise, including promotions, transfers, and other organizational data.  This role provides operational support to the human resource function including record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry and compliance.  The role is also employee-facing as a first point of contact for employee HR questions and helping employees and managers navigate company policies and internal processes.   Responsibilities:   HR Process Execution Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs/practices including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, performance management, recognition, and compliance matters Respond to information requests such as verification of employment, unemployment claims, and other personnel inquiries Provide back-up support for onboarding and offboarding processes Prepare and maintain job descriptions and conduct FLSA analyses as needed May assist HR Business Partners in support of HR programs/practices such as performance management, employee relations, and compensation   HR Data Management Guide and execute employee transactions in HRIS and other company systems, ensuring data integrity Develop and generate reports for HR data and respond to regular data requests from internal stakeholders such as Finance and Legal Handle the set-up of employee data for M&A activities and provide additional support for related HR processes including the transfer of employee files Conduct audits of HRIS data to ensure data integrity Consolidate and transfer employee files to digital format following proper record management requirements   Employee Support Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff; manage centralized HR mailbox Support exit interview processes; compile and prepare information for HR BPs as needed Support employee communication efforts such as health and welfare campaigns, employee engagement, and other related matters Compliance Gathers, compiles, analyzes, and interprets data necessary for external and internal compliance, reporting, and monitoring. Plan, complete, and file compliance reports and documentation with government agencies as needed Maintain the company’s “Drug-Free Workplace” requirements and distribution of documentation. Manage annual MVR process in accordance with company standards Coordinate random drug screening in accordance with company standards Manage DOT/FMCSA processes and maintain driver qualification files Support requirements for businesses that are required to comply with DISA standards Conduct audits of HR data including I-9s and employee documents QualificationsRequired Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field 3+ years of HR experience with specific experience in HR operations or managing HR processes and transactions Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices and procedures Proficiency with HRIS systems and other related systems Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders within HR and other corporate functions Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive data or information Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; experience handling sensitive employee questions or concerns appropriately Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail Proven time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to function well in a high-paced environment and balance multiple priorities Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
