Our purpose is to create a safe and reliable world and our mission is to deliver assurance through precise technical and professional services.  Position: Technical Proposal Writer (Engineering focus) Location: (Hybrid) Can work out of Norcross, GA or Kennesaw, GA office  The Technical Proposal Writer is part of the Consulting Engineering & Design vertical within the broader Consulting segment. This role is responsible for developing, organizing, and producing professional quality proposals and client submissions in close collaboration with Business Development and ATS operations teams. This is a key individual contributor role that blends technical writing, strategic communication, and visual storytelling to produce compelling, compliant, and client-focused proposals.  The ideal candidate will translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive content that highlights expertise in engineering, inspections, and design services, while supporting overall business growth. If you are interested in aligning your career with Sales and Business Development, this role provides a strong pathway.  Responsibilities: Lead and manage the full proposal lifecycle for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs within engineering and consulting services. Develop small-scale proposals with typical turnaround times of 3 business days. Ensure compliance with requirements, scope alignment, and submission deadlines. Coordinate with internal multi-disciplinary teams to develop scopes of work, fee proposals, and project schedules. Collaborate with engineers, Business Development team, ATS Operations Managers, and clients to ensure alignment with industry standards and codes. Ability to use innovative processes Write, edit and tailor proposals to clearly communicate technical capabilities, methodologies, and differentiators. Participate in virtual client meetings as needed. Support pricing discussions in coordination with operations, technical teams, and business development teams. Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent proposals under tight deadlines. Draft, edit, and proofread proposal materials, including project profiles, and bid-specific content. Maintain and expand a centralized library of standard proposal content. Monitor bid portals and notifications to identify new opportunities. Track proposal status and maintain visibility across all active pursuits. Support decision tracking workflows and proposal governance processes. Revise proposals based on feedback and ensure consistency with company standards. When appropriate, review competitor proposals to strengthen internal deliverables. Research clients, markets, competitors, and industry trends to inform business development strategy. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in proposal writing, business development, or marketing within construction, engineering, consulting, property management, HOA, or safety-related industries. Strong technical writing, proofreading and editing skills. Ability to interpret and communicate technical concepts. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong visualization and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe tools, and CRM platforms. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency. Strategic thinking and strong execution focus.
