About the Role:

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of warehouse activities within the transportation and warehousing industry. This position is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving processes, to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. The supervisor leads and develops warehouse staff by providing coaching, training, and performance management to maintain high productivity and adherence to safety standards. They ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO standards, and quality assurance protocols to uphold operational excellence. Ultimately, the Warehouse Supervisor drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow, enhance customer service, and maintain a safe working environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and supervision.
  • Certification or demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation and safety.
  • Strong knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and warehouse safety regulations.
  • Experience with employee coaching, attendance tracking, and performance management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Experience working within ISO-certified warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Previous experience in transportation and warehousing industry.
  • Leadership training or certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise daily warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate order processing and inventory control.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance measures in compliance with ISO standards.
  • Lead, train, and coach warehouse employees to improve performance, safety awareness, and teamwork.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure forklift operations are conducted safely and in accordance with established safety protocols.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with employees, management, and customers to resolve issues and improve service.
  • Track employee attendance and manage scheduling to optimize workforce availability and productivity.
  • Conduct group coaching sessions and individual performance reviews to foster employee development and engagement.
