Adelphi is seeking a qualified per diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing/health care services in a school clinic setting located in Cobb County, Georgia.
The ideal candidate will support the health and wellness needs of students during the school day and assist with clinic coverage in the absence of the school nurse, while following school district procedures and applicable standards of care.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license in Georgia.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Pediatric, school clinic, or student health care experience preferred.
• Ability to follow delegated nursing plans and school health procedures.
• Ability to maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing/health care services to students in the school clinic under applicable standards of practice.
• Assist with student health needs in the absence of the school nurse.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed and within scope of practice.
• Monitor students for illness, injury, or changes in health condition during the school day.
• Support students with chronic health needs, medication schedules, and routine clinic visits.
• Provide first aid and assist with emergency care response when needed.
• Follow established school health plans, protocols, and instructions provided by CCSD personnel.
• Document student visits, treatments, medication administration, and incidents accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness, infection control, and Universal Precautions in the clinic setting.
• Communicate student health concerns to appropriate school staff or designated CCSD personnel.
• Protect the confidentiality of student records and health information.
• Provide coverage for early morning or after-school health care needs when assigned.
• Maintain professional conduct at all times while working on school property.
• Any other duties as assigned.
