Are you driven to enhance patient care and promote safety in healthcare environments? Become the Safe Patient Mobility Coordinator at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. Responsibilities:
  • Apply a detailed approach to assess and address educational needs in collaboration with the nursing department regarding the Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM) program.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of SPHM educational programs, continually seeking ways to improve.
  • Provide training, instruction, and informal supervision to clinical staff on accurate body mechanics and the appropriate use of SPHM equipment.
  • Support the Program Manager by conducting assessments that address both the long-term and short-term needs and strengths of the SPHM program.
  • Report program and staff needs, recommending the type, length, and frequency of support necessary to meet identified needs.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports and records of SPHM program data.
  • Compile educational materials and encouraging documents to aid in staff training.
  • Identify safety concerns and work alongside unit-based leadership and the Program Manager to maintain a safe environment.
  • Market SPHM training and education to the in-house clinical staff effectively.

 

Shift: Mon- Fri, 900a-530p and weekend rotation 

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma/GED, GED/High School diploma Minimum.

Work Experience:

Two (2) years of experience in direct patient care role, (PT, EMT, CNA, Lift Team experience preferred) Minimum.

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) BCLS via AHA Required 

Overtime Status: NONEXEMPT

Shift Length: 8 hour

Salary Range: $24.00 - $36.16
