We are excited to announce a Steam Engineer opening at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital! This full-time role involves variable shifts, providing flexibility and an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast paced setting. You will be key to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility systems. Your contributions will help maintain consistent hospital service delivery. The role will service the new 9-story hospital, that is scheduled to open May 2027. The new hospital will offer advanced medical technology and thoughtfully composed healing environments to support patient care and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain equipment that supports steam generation, chilled water systems, utility gases, water pressure systems, cooling systems, and related mechanical infrastructure.
  • Prepare and issue scheduled preventive maintenance work assignments, monitoring completion to ensure timely follow-through.
  • Maintain equipment manuals, operational documentation, and testing records to support regulatory and accreditation compliance requirements.
  • Perform general upkeep of equipment rooms and mechanical areas, including cleaning and minor maintenance to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Apply computer systems and operational monitoring tools to support maintenance activities, documentation, and system oversight.
  • Collaborate with hospital operations, facilities staff, and other departments to support continuous facility operations and patient care services.
  • Contribute to departmental quality and operational efficiency by supporting equipment reliability, participating in training activities, and assisting with the implementation of departmental objectives.

 

Shift: 8-hour variable shifts
