The Sourcing Manager, Raw Materials is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and supply chain reliability. This role involves supplier negotiation, risk management, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, PD, Manufacturing, Ops, Quality, and Product Strategy) to support business objectives. This role will report to the Director of Procurement. Responsibilities include developing and implementing sourcing strategies to optimize COGS, contribution margin, quality, and supply continuity; conducting market analysis; reviewing raw material portfolio and delivering savings objectives; identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers; negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms; managing raw material deliverables and supplier relationships; assisting Finance, Ops Strategy and Planning teams in budgeting, forecasting, and inventory planning; and streamlining procurement processes. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, 5+ years of experience in raw materials sourcing or supply chain management, strong negotiation and contract management skills, knowledge of industry regulations and sustainability practices, and experience running raw material RFPs. Preferred experience includes sourcing oils and fragrances, and working in personal care, cosmetics, food, pharmaceuticals, or chemicals sectors.
