Position Overview:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position requires a Journeyman’s Card.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a variety of industrial equipment including, but not limited to, robotics, CNC, drives, induction and resistive furnaces, water systems, gauges, lathes, mills, hydraulics, pneumatics etc. Equipment must be repaired to meet manufacturers and KSLP specifications and capability requirements. 
  • Adjust new and existing mechanical and electrical production machinery and equipment to meet specifications. 
  • Install new or relocate existing mechanical and electrical production machinery. Ensure operation to specifications. 
  • Run, install, hook-up and troubleshoot electrical wiring. 
  • Perform fabrication activities as needed. This includes but is not limited to bending, shearing, grinding, welding, cleaning, and painting. 
  • Perform design changes to equipment to meet changing production requirements. These changes must be requested by the process engineers, and the maintenance supervisors.
  • Assist in the development and continuation of a preventive maintenance program for all production machinery and equipment and building equipment and facilities, ensuring timeliness of schedules, accuracy of work, and completion of required paperwork. 
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair building equipment and facilities, adjusting, installing and/or relocating as required, to include HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. 
  • Act as a project leader as required to ensure the timely completion of work by outside contractors. Instruct, check and/or direct work of outside contractors as needed. 
  • Identify and correct safety hazards and problems or notify the proper personnel. 
  • Identify correct replacements parts and request as needed. Recommend the stocking of critical or high turnover parts. 
  • Participate in cross functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of quality, methods and processes, while reducing costs. 
  • Respond to "call ins" in a timely manner as required. 
  • Perform scheduled audits/inspections of equipment and systems. 
  • Complete and perform work activities in compliance with local and other codes. 
  • Maintain technical competence and remain current in changes in the industry. 
  • Integration of apprentices in cooperation with state apprentice program 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Journeyman’s Card
  • Basic math experience
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license by KSLP standards
