Position Summary

TheProject Manageris responsible foroverseeingsmall tomid-sizedprojects orportionsoflargerproductionprograms,applyingindustrybest practices and companyprocessestoensuresuccessfulexecution.Thisrolemanagesproject planning, scheduling,financialcontrols, risk andopportunitymanagement, supplier andcontractualmatters, andprogramreporting,whilesupportingthe Program Management Team andleadingsmall to mediumproposalswithinbudget and schedulerequirements.

 

Domestic travel may berequired.

 

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with Program Management, senior leadership, customers, suppliers, andregulatoryagencies
  • Collect,prepare, track, andsubmitcontractdeliverables (SDRLs) andensurecompliance withcontractualrequirements
  • Prepareproject status reports,metrics,presentations, andcommunicationsfor management
  • Supportdevelopmentof manufacturing/constructionplans and coordinate cross-functionalactivitiesrelatedtocontractchanges
  • Monitor project cost, schedule, and performance,ensuringmanagement controls andcontractcompliance aremaintained
  • SupportEarnedValue Management (EVMS),IntegratedMaster Schedule (IMS) reporting,financialforecasting,EACs, fundingprojections, andmarginanalysis
  • Assist withcontractnegotiations,changeproposals, and riskidentificationandmitigationactivities
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong customer service,negotiation,problem-solving, andvendormanagement skills
  • Knowledge of FAR/DAR,contractsandsubcontracts, WBS,changemanagement, and risk/opportunitymanagement
  • Proficiency in cost, schedule, andprogrammanagement,includingprogrammetricsandEarnedValue Management (EVM)
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
  • Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability tomaintainconfidentiality and a professional demeanor
  • Mustadhere to ISO and OSHApoliciesestablishedby FMG and have high values for safety awareness

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 8 Years ofproject management,administration, management control,orcontract/subcontractexperiencerequired
  • PMP certification and experience in a shipbuilding or maritime environment preferred
