About the Role

We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant Manager to support daily HR operations and help drive key people initiatives across the organization. This role plays an important part in recruiting, employee relations, HR compliance, and compensation and benefits administration.  The ideal candidate is a collaborative HR professional who can balance operational tasks with strategic support while helping ensure a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with employee relations matters including investigations and conflict resolution
  • Support compensation and benefits administration

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company HR policies and employment regulations

  • Assist with workforce planning, internal transfers, and overtime management

  • Support HR training compliance and employee development initiatives

  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation

  • Partner with internal departments to support HR programs and organizational initiatives

  • Assist with HR reporting, workforce metrics, and administrative processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 1-5 years of management experience in Human Resources, training, or employee relations 

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Manufacturing or automotive industry experience is a plus

Work Environment

This role operates primarily in an office environment with regular collaboration across departments. Occasional visits to manufacturing areas may occur where personal protective equipment may be required.
