Join Our Team! Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Marion Lifestyle Recovery @ ACH

Are you a compassionate and dedicated LPN looking to make a real difference in the lives of those in need? Our ASAM 3.1/3.5 residential drug treatment center is seeking a skilled and caring LPNs to join our team in providing essential care and support to individuals on their journey to recovery.  

Hours Needed: Full-time, primarily M-F days; On-Call rotation

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide medical education to Residents by reenforcing effective participation in their own medication management and overall healthy living factor.
  • Provide education and nursing care to Residents within the ASAM 3.1 context.
  • Assist in reviewing of medical appropriateness upon admissions.
  • Monitor medical needs with the Residents through an initial meeting upon intake reviewing initial and post medical-related SIR.
  • Provide assistance with primary care and related appointments. Work to equip Residents with the skills to continue effective medication management post-graduation and/or discharge. 
  • Respond to medical emergencies and other potential crisis situations (verbal or physical) by utilizing agency approved methods, i.e., CPR, Infection Control, Therapeutic Options, and other approved program procedures.
  • Notify Residents and document if they are low on medication and help coordinate refills on an individualize basis.
  • Monitor Resident compliance with physician’s orders and evaluations coordinating such compliance with Clinical staff and primary prescriber.
  • Weekly monitoring Residents with diabetic and acute medical conditions.
  • Coordinate with medical partners, ensuring correspondence is made for auditing and assurance purposes, when retrieving doctor’s orders and medication refills.


Medication Administration Responsibilities include: 

  • Train, retrain, and develop new staff in Medication Administration and CPR/First Aid/AED as needed. 
  • Provide retraining and regular competency review for all staff participating in medication administration and management.
  • In coordination with other licensed Nurses, receive and interpret external physician’s orders. Documenting physician’s orders of medication to Residents, and transfer information to MAR system.


Qualifications:

  • Current LPN license in good standing.
  • Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, non-judgmental, and empathetic approach to patient care.
