Position Summary:

Pull appropriate blueprint and inspection sheet to check liners and inserts, inspect liners for any defects.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Pull the appropriate blueprint and inspection sheet to check liners and inserts with precision measuring instruments for verification of blueprint compliance.
  • Inspect liners and inserts visually for any defects in accordance with the inspection procedures.
  • Place the appropriate marking on the liners and inserts according to the inspection procedures.
  • Fill out the appropriate inspection paperwork in accordance with the inspection procedures.
  • Obtain deviations to print specifications when deemed appropriate.
  • Keep quality supervision and manufacturing management informed on all products with quality problems.
  • When required run liner through rollers according to inspection procedures.
  • When required verify completeness of the oven cycles from oven cycle charts and cut samples of liner for testing in accordance with the inspection procedures.
  • Perform in house random audits of manufacturing quality procedures and the quality of products in finished goods.
  • Dispose of non-conforming liners and inserts according to the inspection procedures.
  • Confirm passage of lab test on liner samples before liner placement into stock.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift.
  • Blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments not limited to, but including tape measure, o.d. tape measure, micrometres, scissor callipers.
  • Ability to perform material handling functions using hand trucks, carts, and lift trucks within the work area and the department.
