Job Description:
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance, or designee, the Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining records relating to parts and supplies at their respective location. Essential functions include:
Maintaining records utilizing the Oracle system, Veeder-Root, and Fleetwatch;
Receiving and issuing parts and supplies;
Handling incoming and outgoing shipments;
Evaluating parts usage from equipment repair orders;
Handling bus down situations;
Reviewing stock levels and preparing reorder notice to replenish and maintain inventory levels;
Performing and verifying cycle counts;
Investigating and resolving parts variances;
Preparing requisitions;
Preparing and issuing transfers;
Maintaining MRO inventory balances;
Monitoring gas readings and maintaining fluid and fuel levels;
Maintaining a clean and organized stockroom;
Performing other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Age:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Must have at least one year of previous experience in stockroom operations, shipping, and receiving, and have a good work history.
Certifications/Licenses:
Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Must have or obtain forklift certification within six (6) months after date of hire.
Proficiencies:
Must demonstrate intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle is preferred.
Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills: good written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 75 lbs.
Working Conditions:
Work is performance in stockroom, shipping, and receiving environment, where the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and loud noises. Work is sometimes performed outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule or remote work.
Salary
Full Salary Range: $35,464-$72,747
Salary midpoint: $54,105
Anticipated starting Salary Range: $44,784-$54,105
