Summary: The operator position is responsible for the overall operation of the machine to ensure the machine continuously runs safely while producing good product at an efficient rate. Operator will be able to trouble shoot obvious issues with the machine and communicate to their supervisor.Â
Essential Functions: Operates machine, clears and prevents jams, weighs out finished materials, documents weights, documents down time, potential safety, quality, and production issues. Adheres to all safety and PPE requirements. Communicates with supervisor when issues arise. Leads co-workers and material handlers in process flow. Able to trouble shoot machine.Â
Minor Duties and Responsibilities: Keeping assigned area clean with help from co-workers working in the same area.Â
Qualifications for the job: Communication skills. Trouble shooting skills. Basic math skills. If possible, experience operating conveyor fed machinery or working with recycled materials. Ability to lift 50 lbs. several times a day. Must be able to sit, climb, bend, stoop and reach while working. Must have manual dexterity for writing and banding activity. Key Competencies: Understands process flow and why. Critical thinking (willing to ask questions in attempts to make processes safer and more efficient). Basic math skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to stay on task with little supervision. Ability to direct operations of processes involving the machine. Able to communicate respectfully with others to get the job done. Physical Demands and work environment: Ability to work on production machinery, climbing, bending crouching, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds Work around loud machinery requiring hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, and high visibility clothing.

Pay: $20/hr with quarterly raises, plus 2nd and 3rd shift differential.
