Job Description
BJ’s Wholesale Club is looking for a highly motivated Membership Specialist to join the Member Acquisition team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to leverage performance marketing and project management skills to help BJ’s acquire new members with a specific focus on new clubs/markets. Membership Acquisition is the foundation of BJ’s Wholesale Club, where we aim to take care of families that depend on us.

This role will be an integral part of the Member Acquisition team, helping to plan, execute, and optimize member acquisition campaigns in collaboration with both internal teams and external vendor partners. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and can confidently manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop, launch, and optimize marketing campaigns across channels to acquire new BJ’s members in pre and post-open clubs.
  • Own reporting and analysis of new club marketing and channel performance as well as setting signup goals, budgets and offer strategies.
  • Collaborate on execution of marketing collateral and deployment with internal and external partners (e.g., Creative, Marketing agencies, field teams, PR / Corporate Communications, Market Development and Operations)
  • Support the management of the overall Member Acquisition budget to ensure expenses are kept in line with BJ’s financial plan. Grow to fully own this strategic and high-profile project.
  • Identify and evaluate new marketing channels and partners to drive incremental member acquisition.
  • Support broader acquisition initiatives as needed including special projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably) in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Preferred: 1-2+ years of relevant work experience in a marketing role with emphasis on digital, social, and traditional direct marketing channels
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and contribute beyond your immediate scope of responsibility.
  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to leverage data and think critically about marketing decisions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas and results clearly to a variety of audiences.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $62,000.00 - $81,500.00
