Headwall is seeking an Applications Engineer to work in our Industrial Sensing / Machine vision product line.

 

Headwall is the leader in hyperspectral imaging used for chemical-spectral imaging across industrial and research applications. Our technologies are used in the recycling, mining, and food industries-where precision and efficiency matter.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our sales and R&D teams to develop technical solutions enabling customers to successfully deploy our products.
  • Commission our optical and inductive sensor systems-on-site or remotely.
  • Develop sorting models and support customers during commissioning, feasibility studies, and training.
  • Perform initial installations and provide after-sales support.
  • Prepare measurement reports and customer documentation.
  • Accompany our sales team to customer meetings, present our solutions clearly and convincingly, and answer technical questions.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree (e.g. chemistry, engineering) with understanding of spectroscopy
  • Ideally, experience in customer support and/or sensor-based sorting-an advantage, but not required.
  • Analytical thinking, initiative, and a structured work approach.
  • Strong communication skills, team spirit, and willingness to travel
