About the RoleÂ
BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Process Architect Intern to support our Enterprise Excellence organization as we continue to modernize and standardize how business processes are documented and improved across the enterprise. This internship provides hands-on exposure to enterprise transformation, business process management, and operational excellence.Â
The intern will partner closely with Enterprise Excellence leaders and the Signavio Product team to capture, model, and synthesize business processes identified through BJ’s summer intern projects. The work produced will become part of BJ’s long-term enterprise process repository and support initiatives across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Membership, and other core functions. This role is ideal for students interested in operations, consulting, process improvement, or enterprise systems.Â
What You’ll DoÂ
Translate findings from ~25 intern-led projects into standardized business process modelsÂ
Document end-to-end processes using BPMN-style flows in SAP Signavio (training provided)Â
Conduct structured intakes to capture current-state processes, pain points, and opportunitiesÂ
Ensure process consistency within BJ’s enterprise process hierarchyÂ
Partner with the Signavio Product Manager to review and validate modelsÂ
Identify cross-functional themes and optimization opportunitiesÂ
Contribute to final insights and presentations highlighting enterprise valueÂ
What You’ll LearnÂ
Business process management and enterprise process architecture fundamentalsÂ
How large organizations document and improve end-to-end operationsÂ
Exposure to enterprise platforms including SAP, Blue Yonder, Workday, and UKGÂ
Practical use of Generative AI tools to support documentation and analysisÂ
How operational insights translate into scalable, long-term business valueÂ
Required QualificationsÂ
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programÂ
Strong analytical, structured thinking, and problem-solving skillsÂ
Ability to synthesize conversations and documentation into clear process flowsÂ
Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
Comfortable working cross-functionally with diverse stakeholdersÂ
High attention to detail and ability to produce professional documentationÂ
Willingness to learn new tools, methods, and concepts quicklyÂ
Interest in operations, business process improvement, or enterprise transformationÂ
Some Travel RequiredÂ
This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
