Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Patient Access Clerk. We're looking for individuals with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Office Assistant program preferred.
  • Must obtain BLS Certificate within the next 6 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs various duties involving the preparation of Inpatient, Outpatient and Swing Bed registrations. Ensures that accurate and complete patient information is collected and that patients are aware of the hospital’s policies and procedures. Answers telephone console and routes call to appropriate person or location. Greets and assists visitors, patients, vendors, customers, job applicants, and others to ensure that they are directed to the proper location. Responsibility includes all admitting functions, educating patients about their insurance coverage, and collecting amounts due, issuing receipts, completing bank deposits, balances cash drawer daily or at the end of your shift. Receives sorts and distributes hospital mail to designated departmental mailboxes. Weighs, meters, and prepares mail for transporting to post office. Handles lamination requests and sends out invoices. Duties will be performed in a courteous and professional manner in keeping with quality patient care. At all times patient confidentiality will be respected.
