Primary PurposeĀ
TheTechnical Field Service Representative IIĀ is responsible forĀ providing on-site and phone troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, installation, andĀ sales commissioning supportĀ ofĀ Generac industrial products. This position will require up to 50% travel.Ā
Major ResponsibilitiesĀ Ā
Perform technical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of generators.Ā
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of generators both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends and holidays as directed.Ā
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of generators.Ā
Read and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics, universal generator literature, and work orders to perform required maintenance and/or repairs.Ā
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service managerĀ in a timely manner.Ā
Stay current on National Fire Protection Association and State regulations for Emergency Power Supply Systems.Ā
Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.Ā
Communicate report findings through but not limited to phone calls, emails and in person communication.Ā
Conducting equipment commissioning for the industrial and MPS products.Ā

Work ExperienceĀ
4 years servicing and troubleshooting of Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)Ā
Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesĀ
Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagramsĀ
Working knowledge of Engine maintenance and troubleshooting of natural gas fuel systems.Ā
Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, and heating productsĀ
Working knowledge of diesel or gaseous enginesĀ
Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to make independent decisions, and work with minimal supervision.Ā
Working knowledge of transfer switch operationsĀ
Spark Ignited knowledgeĀ
Ability to obtain andĀ maintainĀ Generac certification in the air-cooled and protector series coursesĀ
Ability to work and communicate well with othersĀ
Ability to provide detailed reports within 24 hoursĀ
Ability to manage and respond to emails, texts, and phone calls in a safe andĀ timelyĀ mannerĀ
