Central Valley Ag is seeking an Operations (DOT) professional to support our grain and agronomy teams. This is a high-tempo, entry-level role designed for individuals who enjoy technical variety, active work, and a clear path toward professional licensure. We are looking for a reliable, growth-minded team player to join our stable, farmer-owned cooperative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Logistics & Transport: Drive company vehicles to transfer grain and agronomy products; operate tender trucks to supply custom application equipment.

  • Plant Operations: Assist in the scheduling, mixing, and loading of liquid/dry fertilizers and crop protection products with high accuracy.

  • Inventory Handling: Lead the receiving, shipping, and storage of grain, seed, and fertilizer to ensure quality and prevent product loss.

  • Facility Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on buildings, fleet vehicles, and plant equipment to ensure operational readiness.

  • Field Support: Assist with train loading operations and serve as a back-up for custom applicators as specialized certifications are earned.

  • Administrative Accuracy: Utilize on-site scale systems and maintain precise documentation for DOT compliance and inventory tracking.

  • Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a professional and secure work environment by following all company safety protocols and site cleanliness standards.

  • Customer Service: Assist local patrons with the loading and unloading of products in a professional and courteous manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Licensing: Must have a valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements (CVA provides training).
