ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include but are not limited to general warehouse, inbound and/or outbound functions. Duties may vary depending on shift.
General warehouse:
- Prepare, process, and distribute routine warehouse documentation including inbound/outbound forms, discrepancy reports, stock/damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, and shipping labels.
- Communicate with internal teams, drivers, and external partners to support operational needs and resolve issues.
- Respond to inquiries, research information, and provide timely updates to warehouse leadership.Collect, track, and input operational metrics such as
- shorts, mispicks, damages, service levels, and overtime.
- Support warehouse personnel by troubleshooting selecting, loading, and shipping issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Inbound:
- Schedule receiving appointments with vendors based on warehouse capacity and operational needs.
- Maintain and update the daily Delivery Appointment Sheet for the receiving department.
- Conduct inbound driver check‑in and check‑out processes.
- Assign receiving doors and ensure warehouse readiness for inbound freight.Prepare and confirm purchase orders for receiving activities.
- Coordinate with receiving teams to ensure accurate and timely unloading of inbound freight.
Outbound:
- Support night warehouse operations by checking returns, credit slips, and assembling returned orders for proper slotting.
- Investigate picking errors, locate missing products, and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with selectors, loaders, and supervisors to address outbound issues and maintain workflow.
- Complete outbound paperwork and reports, including documents for selecting crews, route loading, drivers, and nightly truck receipts.
- Update and maintain the master storage report to ensure accurate inventory placement and tracking.

- Internal: Operations manager, purchasing department
- External: Carriers, vendors
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work will take place at a desk in a US Foods office-based environment but may occasionally require work in normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse & delivery procedures required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
Education
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certifications/Training
- Preferred experience in the following areas: SAE, Truck Builder, Red Prairie, Kronos, Incentive/Component Pay, Road Net, XATA, Shopfax, Tandem, PowerDock equipment inventories, and warranties.

Must be able to perform the following physical activities for the described length of time:
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $21.66 and $26.00.
