Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty.

The Chaplain provides pastoral care, worship leadership and spiritual enrichment programs for residents, families and staff.


Qualifications

Chaplain requirements include:

  • A Bachelor of Divinity from an accredited seminary or educational institution, or its equivalent; Masters of Divinity degree from accredited seminary preferred; Ordination or commission for service to function in a ministry of pastoral care;
  • Current ecclesiastical endorsement from the appropriate faith group to whom the chaplain is accountable for the ministry (such as, Lutheran or other Protestant ministry).
  • Pastoral care experience.
  • A personal, pastoral presence
  • An understanding of the elderly and aging process
  • Ability to work empathetically with patients, residents, families, and staff
  • Ability to function as a part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently, evidencing good judgment in decision-making
  • Ability to express ideas effectively both orally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
