Shift Differentials:
- $5.00/hour from 3 PM – 11 PM
- $7.50/hour from 11 PM – 7 AM
- Additional $7.50/hour on weekends
Join the Emergency Department team at Marshalltown Hospital and provide compassionate care in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Our 16-bed Level IV Trauma Center includes 10 treatment rooms, 2 trauma rooms, a triage room, and 4 behavioral health observation rooms, offering the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while growing your emergency nursing skills alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Assess patient needs and collaborate with the care team to develop individualized care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changing clinical situations
- Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment, and follow-up needs
- Accurately document patient care and maintain thorough medical records
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to support quality outcomes
- Delegate and coordinate care activities with other healthcare team members
- Promote patient safety and infection prevention practices
- Support a positive team environment focused on communication, professionalism, and excellence
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
Education
- Associates Degree in Nursing
License(s)/Certification(s)
- Current license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing.
