Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Executive Assistant supports top level executive(s) of the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS). The role performs a range of executive level advanced and confidential administrative functions requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. The individual must exercise exemplary judgement and initiative to relieve the top level executive(s) of technical and highly confidential administrative details. This role may serve as the primary contact for the top level executive(s) and resolves or disseminates questions, concerns and functions to the appropriate individuals within the area designated.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Minimum Required: One of the following:

  • Five years of progressive experience in an administrative office setting.
  • Associate degree in an administrative assistant or related field and two years of progressive experience in an administrative office setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.

Preferred/Optional: Experience supporting an executive level administrator in a healthcare setting.

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: Demonstrated proficiency with utilizing various software programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication skills. Three years’ experience supporting an executive level administrator.

Preferred/Optional: Experience supporting an executive level administrator in a healthcare setting.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position, which must be maintained in good standing:

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification awarded by the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).
