Powder Coating Team Lead

 

Powder Coating Team Lead Team Lead position is crucial to our goals of quality production, customer satisfaction, empowered employees, and continuous improvement. As a company, we are interested in people who want to be problem solvers and bring quality to the decision-making process. Our Team leaders must be aligned with our vision of respecting each person and improving every process.

Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Position Type: Full-time

Hours: 40 hours on average

Schedule: M-F

  • Daily Production Targets

  • Machine Reliability & Trouble Shooting
  • Cell/Shop Cleanliness
  • Part Quality & Improvements
  • Maintain Tier 1 Board

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with supervisor/manager to develop and maintain procedures for daily work that emphasize quality production and employee purpose.
  • Develop and maintain respectful relationships with other teams and departments
  • Work as a team member within the larger company
  • Be a leader in the Swiss Production Shop by aligning with the vision and goals of the company and the department accordingly
  • Provide necessary progress updates
  • Trouble-shoot machines on floor as needed
  • Daily Production Shop work
  • Perform QC of parts and adjusting to bring into spec
  • Train and develop new employees
  • Run morning huddles
  • Maintain inventory control of raw and finished parts
  • Coordinate with other team leads on labor sharing
  • Complete LSW

Required Competencies

  • Responsible and dependable
  • Willing to learn and understand the vison and goals of the company
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge
  • Ability to use calipers and gauges
  • Able to communicate well with other team members
  • Willing to learn and problem solve as a team player
  • Machining knowledge and or experience
  • Demonstrated trustworthiness

Essential Functions

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly using hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly standing, talking, and hearing.
