Design Technician

Position Summary

The Design Technician supports the design and preparation of liner specifications for manufacturing by translating customer requirements into production-ready documentation. This role works closely with technical and operations teams to ensure designs are accurate, complete, and aligned with business standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate customer purchase orders and specifications into liner design documentation
• Develop and maintain construction sheets using standardized templates
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systems
• Maintain organized design records and project documentation
• Coordinate with production and cross-functional teams to support execution
• Assist with documentation updates and continuous improvement efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

Preferred

• Internship or coursework related to manufacturing, materials, or infrastructure
• Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar)
• Exposure to CAD, design calculations, or technical documentation

• Microsoft Excel
• ERP systems (NetSuite or similar)

 Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to manufacturing environments
• Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer
• Occasional plant floor interaction requiring standard PPE
