Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Position Summary

The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) provides evidence-based behavioral health services through telehealth platforms. This role conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and delivers therapy services while ensuring compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, and HIPAA standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments via telehealth
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
    • Provide individual, family, and group therapy
    • Utilize evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
    • Deliver services through HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
    • Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia
    • Master’s degree in Counseling or related field
    • Clinical experience preferred
    • Ability to meet DBHDS and background requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Medicaid (DMAS)
    • Knowledge of DBHDS regulations
    • Telehealth experience
    • Familiarity with EHR systems


Supervision

Reports to Clinical Supervisor or Program Director. Participates in supervision and team meetings.
