The Restoration Technician is responsible for performing restoration and cleanup services for residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, storm damage, and other disasters. Technicians work as part of a team to mitigate damage, restore property, and ensure a safe and clean environment for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform water extraction, structural drying, and moisture monitoring.

  • Assist with fire, smoke, and soot cleanup and deodorization.

  • Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation.

  • Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers.

  • Conduct mold remediation according to company and industry standards.

  • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Maintain accurate job documentation including photos, moisture readings, and work logs.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress.

  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working condition.

  • Provide professional customer service to clients during stressful situations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Previous restoration, construction, or cleaning experience is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.

  • Willingness to work on-call, nights, weekends, and emergency response situations.

  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Preferred Certifications (not required)

  • IICRC WRT – Water Restoration Technician

  • IICRC ASD – Applied Structural Drying

  • IICRC FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician

  • IICRC AMRT – Applied Microbial Remediation Technician
