Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Martinsville VA - Martinsville, VA 24112Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 2nd ShiftMUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO APPLY AND NOT CURRENLTY ENROLLED “This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.” Maintenance Tech 1 Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. Associate’s degree in a technical field is preferred Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience, PLC and food  manufacturing industry experience is preferred preferred two years industrial maint experience or five years’ experience with monogram   Strong electrical, mechanical experience, electrical Journeyman's license preferred. Ability to work in a team environment and a diverse workforce Effective verbal and written communication skills Able to lift 50 lbs. or more, climb a ladder and stand for extended periods of time Must be flexible and able to work overtime and weekends when required   Major Duties and Responsibilities:   Requirements: Knowledge of common maintenance practices and procedures Electrical education/training Experience performing maintenance on industrial machinery Strong troubleshooting skills Ability to read schematics and blueprints Ability to use meters and test equipment Ability to work flexible hours   Responsibilities: Test and troubleshoot various types of meat processing equipment Perform building maintenance Follow preventative maintenance schedule for processing equipment Follow lockout/tag out procedures when performing Keep work area clean and organized Follow GMP/HAACP procedures Assist with other tasks as assigned   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   Knowledge of industrial machine operation. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to complete paperwork neatly and accurately.     Work Environment: Stand on concrete Noise Odors of meat     Physical Requirements: Hand/eye coordination Lifting Pulling/pushing Wrist motion (repetitive, flexion, rotation) Qualifications
