CNC PROGRAMMER/SETUP MACHINIST

CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist

We are a carbon manufacturing company seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist to join our team. This position requires a skilled individual who can program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC equipment while maintaining high standards for quality and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines
• Set up CNC lathes, multiple spindle machines, and VMCs (Vertical Machining Centers)
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Select appropriate tooling and make necessary machine adjustments
• Perform first-piece inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs as needed
• Maintain quality, safety, and production standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist
• Hands-on experience with CNC lathes, multiple spindle machines, and VMCs
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and tolerances
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment

Compensation

• Up to $30 per hour, based on experience
