The Tooling Associate position designs, plans, constructs, and alter production machines, equipment, physical structures and infrastructure within the facility and grounds

Essential Functions:

  • Design, fabricate and implement tooling, gages, machine fixtures used in production
  • Monitor the tools used to ensure efficiency and identify necessary repairs or improvements
  • Service and repair tooling (strip down, clean, lubricate and rebuild)
  • Analyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools
  • Maintain, adjust, improve, and develop new tooling, gages, and machine fixtures
  • Purchasing and quotation responsibilities, as well as hands on tasks in the shop troubleshooting and working directly with machine setup and operators to gain feedback on tooling and ideas for improvement
  • Ensure operations meet standards and continuous improvement efforts
  • Undertake continuous training and development
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Communicate with other departments as necessary
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
