Job Description

 

About the Team: Lead and supervise supply chain personnel within the production facility in execution of procedures and work instruction to meet or exceed customer requirements for delivery, timing, quality and cost. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements, operating procedures and working conditions while fostering a high morale team-oriented atmosphere. This is a 2nd Shift position (hours roughly 3pm-12am).

 

What you can look forward to as a Supply Chain Supervisor:

  • Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution. 
  • Establish and maintain training plans and records for all direct reports.
  • Direct transportation and storage of materials and commodities by developing methods and procedures to support both internal and external customers. 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. 
  • Maintain open door communication and promote issue free environment. 
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 
  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results. 
  • Support and participate in both internal and external process auditing activities.

 

Your profile as a Supply Chain Supervisor:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and 4-5+ years of progressive, related experience.
  • Prior supervisor experience with union workforce and proficiency in Excel and SAP or other MRP systems. 
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to lead people and get results through others. 
  • Ability to supervise, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline. 
  • Proven ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
