POSITION SUMMARY

Operate and maintain machines and equipment necessary to manufacture high pressure die cast parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA
  • Remove excess aluminum from hot or cold castings using manual and air tools.
  • Visually inspect parts per work instructions to ensure quality.
  • Record production through appropriate documentation, marking, packaging and tagging procedures as required.
  • Determine, confirm, and manually load furnaces with appropriate amount of ingot material.
  • Maintain quality of raw material and equipment by performing proper cleaning procedures.
  • Monitor furnace settings, conditions and communicate issues to appropriate personnel.
  • May assist with tests of molten aluminum.
  • Collet and redistribute trimmings and other excess aluminum.
  • May assist Team Leader in duties as necessary
  • Operate shot blaster.
  • Performs job duties in a safe and appropriate manner as well as follows all work and safety rules including any specialized safety and health training.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of work area.
  • Operate, monitor and maintain equipment used in the production process as required.
