PAY: The expected hiring range for this position is from $16.86 to $19.83 plus additional bonus opportunity. The stated hiring range is based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors. JOB SUMMARY:Ā 

The Document Custody ClerkĀ is responsible for creating and maintaining VMF loan files by managing, organizing and filing incoming and outgoing loan documents.Ā  This role reports to the Document Custody and Release Team Lead.Ā 

Ā 

JOB FUNCTIONS:Ā 

Creates and Maintains VMF Loan FilesĀ 

  • Completes audits and checks in collateral files and documents to support new loan originations.Ā 

  • Responsible for pulling requested loan files, researching for accuracy, and sending documents to the requested departments.Ā 

  • Performs investor relocations when necessary.Ā 

  • Works to maintain organization and tidiness within the document vault.Ā Ā 

Ā 

Research and AuditsĀ 

  • Audits loan files for completion, accuracy, and location of missing documents.Ā 

  • Performs audits on files to ensure complete with required documents in case of creating Ginnie Mae pools, bulk sales, as well as scratch and dent sales.Ā 

  • Completes loan purchase due diligence as needed.Ā 

Ā 

Intercompany Departmental SupportĀ 

  • Pulls original documents upon request in support of department processes within VMF.Ā 

  • Handles service and information requests from Silverton Mortgage including, but not limited to, pulling, and endorsing requested collateral documents, obtaining all authorized signatures, shipping new documents to investors, release & receipting of trailing documents, and documenting loan sales.Ā

QUALIFICATIONS:Ā 

  • Education:Ā Ā High School diploma or equivalent required.Ā 

  • Experience:Ā  0 – 1 year of experience.Ā 

  • Basic computer skills with ability to type at least 25 wpm.Ā 

  • Working knowledge of AS/400, Microsoft Word, and Excel a plus.Ā 

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email, and person to person.Ā 

  • Capability of gathering facts accurately, analyzing causes, evaluating alternate solutions, and arriving at sound conclusions on action to be taken.Ā 

  • Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.Ā 

  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.Ā 

  • Ability to work in a team environment.Ā 

  • Adheres to compliance and confidentiality in managing sensitive customer information.Ā

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ā 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.Ā 

  • Will be constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Ā 

  • Must be able to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.Ā 

  • Will constantly work in a state-of-the-art indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.Ā
