PAY: The expected hiring range for this position is from $16.86 to $19.83 plus additional bonus opportunity. The stated hiring range is based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors. JOB SUMMARY:Ā 

The Mail Processing Center Clerk I is responsible forĀ processing,Ā receiving, sorting, distributing, picking up, and delivering company mail and packages for the enterprise.Ā Ā ThisĀ roleĀ reports to the Mail Processing Center Team Lead and ensures mailing machines are operating sufficiently, mail and packages reach their destinations in a timely manner, and that document flow runs smoothly for the organization.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā

JOB FUNCTIONS:Ā 

Processes Incoming and Outgoing MailĀ 

  • Receives, sorts, and opens (when required) mail dailyĀ to include:Ā 

  • Organizes mail according to business unit (recipient).Ā 

  • Payments and checks given to MPC Payment Processors.Ā 

  • Tax bills and correspondence given to MPC Tax Research Clerks.Ā 

  • Identifies and processes customer correspondence for imaging.Ā 

  • Receives, sorts and sends all outgoing mail and packages via USPS, FedEx, and UPS.Ā 

  • Completes daily mail routes throughout the office for mail pick up and drop off in mail service locations.Ā 

  • Researches, identifies, and updates all returned mail based on individual team policies using the AS400 for customer account access and updating addresses.Ā 

  • Provides special print job services enterprise wide for training and development, marketing promotions, laminations, and other needs as requestedĀ Ā 

  • Provides FedEx administration services to all business units as needed to set up new user accounts and edit groups as necessaryĀ 

  • Sends weekly packages to all Home Centers, Home Building Group and Supply Facilities.Ā 

  • Prioritizes special projects as needed based on efficient shipping practices and department needsĀ Ā Ā 

Ā 

Provides Excellent Customer ServiceĀ 

  • Answers calls regarding mail and tracking packages for the Retail Home Centers and Home Building Group teams.Ā 

  • Collaborates with special groups for deliveries as needed, such as: Aramark, Facilities, Technology, Lodge, etc.Ā 

  • Assists in trouble shooting lost or missing packages and mail.Ā 

  • Responds to emails from inter-enterprise team members as needed.Ā 

  • Provides service at the Mail Processing window located in the main hallway of the home office.Ā 

  • Provides postage and shipping labels as requested.Ā 

  • Print jobs, special letters and mailings sent to the work-from-home and extension-print email distrosĀ 

Ā 

Supports Vendor ServicesĀ 

  • Works with third party courier as needed to ensure mail is received and ready to go out each day in a timelyĀ manner as schedules are determinedĀ 

  • Operates Ship Manager from FedEx to print weekly shipping labels for outgoing packages to Retail Sales Centers and Home Building FacilitiesĀ 

  • Organizes andĀ sortsĀ packages to be picked up by UPS and FedEx for daily pickupĀ

QUALIFICATIONS:Ā 

  • Education:Ā High School diploma or equivalent required.Ā 

  • Experience:Ā No experience required; 0-1 year of experience preferred.Ā 

  • Basic computer skills with ability to type at least 25 wpm.Ā 

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email, and person to person.Ā 

  • Capability of gathering facts accurately, analyzing causes, evaluating alternate solutions, and arriving at sound conclusions on action to be taken.Ā 

  • Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.Ā 

  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.Ā 

  • Ability to work in a team environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ā 

  • Must be able toĀ lift upĀ to 25 pounds.Ā 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary positionĀ 50-75% of the time.Ā Will walk throughout home office daily for mail services, frequency will vary.Ā 

  • Will be constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Ā 

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.Ā 

  • Must be able to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.Ā 

  • Will constantly work in a state-of-the-art indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.Ā
