Coordinates unit communications such as telephone, patient, visitor, ancillary departments and physician staff.  Duties involve use of computer.  Assists in maintaining a well-organized and functional unit.  Performance expectations are defined in the competency evaluation.  Job Responsibilities: 1.    Performs clerical /secretarial duties in a timely and accurate manner. 2.    Performs effective communication 3.    Maintains equipment, supplies, and records in order to facilitate unit organization   QualificationsEducation Requirements and Other Requirements:     Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.  Completion of a unit secretary course at an accredited school preferred.     Certification/Licensure: N/A     Experience Requirements: One year clerical / secretarial experience in a hospital setting acceptable in lieu of certification per discretion of unit director
