About the Role:

The Concrete Laborer plays a critical role in the successful completion of construction projects by preparing, pouring, and finishing concrete structures and surfaces. This position requires hands-on work to ensure that concrete is mixed, placed, and cured according to project specifications and safety standards. The laborer collaborates closely with other construction team members to maintain workflow efficiency and uphold quality control. Attention to detail and physical stamina are essential, as the role involves operating tools, handling materials, and working in various weather conditions. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in concrete work or general construction labor.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating concrete machinery such as mixers and power trowels.
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare construction sites by cleaning and setting up forms and molds for concrete pouring.
  • Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and machinery to achieve the desired finish.
  • Assist in the placement and finishing of concrete surfaces, including smoothing, edging, and jointing.
  • Operate and maintain concrete-related equipment such as mixers, vibrators, and trowels safely and efficiently.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to minimize risks on site.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Load and unload materials, and transport concrete and tools to designated work areas.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
