About the Role:

The Assistant Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from inception through completion. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders including contractors, architects, and clients to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in managing change orders, reviewing construction and shop drawings, and maintaining accurate construction schedules. They will also contribute to site development oversight and cost estimation to support effective project planning and execution. Ultimately, this role ensures that construction administration processes are followed meticulously to uphold quality standards and client satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and shop drawings.
  • Experience with construction scheduling software and cost estimation tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction administration processes and site development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager).
  • Experience working on commercial construction projects.
  • Familiarity with change order management software and construction management platforms.
  • Advanced skills in project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of change orders to address project modifications.
