Collaborate with equipment manufacturers to specify and commission manufacturing equipment. Plan plant layouts and ensure utility readiness for new equipment. Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to address non-conforming products and implement solutions. Identify and execute Continuous Improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, and Packaging Plans. Create standardized work instructions and operator aids. Design and build tools, fixtures, and assembly aids. Support additional tasks as assigned by the ME Manager. QualificationsRequired Knowledge & Skills The Manufacturing Engineer must have a solid working understanding of the following: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). Expertise in manufacturing time studies (TAKT time, cycle time, elemental time). Experience creating flexible line balances to manage volume fluctuations. Knowledge of plastic joining techniques (ultrasonic and vibration welding). Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD. Familiarity with electrical assembly test methods (continuity, Hipot) and electrical safety. Strong grasp of lean manufacturing principles. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a solid foundation in statistics and data analysis. Root cause analysis. Hazard analysis and the application of the hierarchy of controls to reduce risk and exposure. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivated, driven, and a strong team player with a commitment to success. Preferred: Experience with injection molding, laser engraving of plastic parts, machine vision inspections, and force monitoring systems. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing (automotive industry preferred) or 8+ years of demonstrated expertise in required skills.
