We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team.  In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring materials are available when needed, building strong supplier partnerships, and identifying opportunities to improve cost, efficiency, and processes. What you will do: •    Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders and supplier agreements •    Process requisitions and provide updates on order status •    Monitor inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock for production needs •    Coordinate transportation and track shipments to ensure on-time-delivery •    Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers •    Research, evaluate, and compare suppliers, good, and services •    Select suppliers based on reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness •    Request quotes and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts •    Analyze market trends to support informed purchasing decisions •    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and business needs •    Analyze the industry and demand trends and support sourcing strategies •    Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare reports •    Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures •    Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives  •    Support additional responsibilities as need to meet business and customer needs   QualificationsRequired Education, Knowledge & Skills High school diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field or 5+ years of purchasing/supply chain experience Experience in a manufacturing environment (injection molding is a plus) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (IQMS experience is a plus) Strong understanding of purchasing strategies and supplier management Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities A proactive, solution-oriented mindset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Western Diversified Plastics is an equal opportunity employer.  We are committed to providing a work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.  We do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.  We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
