Generations at Applewood in Matteson, IL, seeks an EXPERIENCED CNA SUPERVISOR WHO WILL ALSO DO SCHEDULING FOR THE NURSING DEPARTMENT. This is a full-time position and the Pay Rate is $24-29 per hour based on experience and benefits chosen.*

Our facility uses On-Shift for block scheduling and communicating with staff. This helps push out available shifts to staff to pick up as we DO NOT use agency.

*Top rate of $29 ph is a 'No Benefit' rate and based on experience. Actual rate will depend on which benefit package is chosen and level of experience as a supervisor or CNA Lead as well as scheduling.

Responsibilities of the CNA Unit Manager:

• Oversee units and CNAS
• Do the Master Schedule all nursing staff but only staff replacements for CNA call-offs
• Act as an educator and resource for CNA staff
• Train and Mentor CNAs during orientation and as needed on job duties and expectations
• Attend daily staff meetings to ensure transfer of information is complete and accurate
• Review CNA documentation to ensure that it is complete
• Conduct regular rounds to supervise CNAs and ensure residents are being turned and repositioned in accordance with policy and procedure
• Foster relationships with CNAs and nursing staff to promote an optimal working environment and contribute to staff retention

Requirements

of the CNA Unit Manager

• Must be CNA, registered in Illinois
• CNA and Scheduling experience
• OnShift experience a definite plus!
• Experience in a supervisory role highly desirable
• Experience in a long term care facility
• Proven leadership capabilities, build relationships and trust
• Treat employees with respect and with a collaborative demeanor
• Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
